Lähes koko kristikunta viettää lepopäivänään viikon ensimmäistä päivää eli sunnuntaita. Tämä käytäntö on selvässä ristiriidassa Jumalan sapattikäskyn (2. Moos. 20: 8 - 11) ja elohistisen luomiskertomuksen kanssa (1. Moos. 1: 1 - 2: 3), jonka mukaan Jumala asetti viikon seitsemännen päivän eli sapatin (lauantain) ihmiskunnan levon päiväksi siunaamalla ja pyhittämällä sen luomistyönsä muistoksi.

Kun viikko aloitetaan maanantailla, sunnuntaista tulee viikon viimeinen eli seitsemäs päivä. Mutta ongelmaksi jää yhä keskiviikko, joka muistuttaa alkuperäisestä viikonpäivien järjestyksestä. Toinen ongelmakohta on se seikka, että lauantai eli raamatun sapatti on ainoa viikonpäivä, joka on saanut nimensä jo luomisen yhteydessä, sillä "sabato" merkitsee "lepoa" (Jumalan lepoa!), ja että kaikkia muita viikonpäiviä kutsutaan raamatussa järjestysnumeronsa mukaan. Sen mukaan sunnuntaita kutsutaan viikon ensimmäiseksi päiväksi (Luuk. 20: 1).

Konstantinus Suuri määräsi sunnuntain valtakuntansa yleiseksi lepopäiväksi vuonna 321. Saman miehen toimesta Nikean kirkolliskokous (325) alkoi kehitellä kolminaisuusoppia, joka määrittelee Jumalan kolmeksi persoonaksi vastoin hänen omaa ilmoitustaan. Vaikka lepopäivämuutos on toteutettu ihmisten toimesta, sen suunnittelija ja promoottori on itse Pimeyden Ruhtinas, joka on Jumalan vastustaja.

Mutta miksi hän valitsi omaksi suosikikseen juuri sunnuntain eli viikon ensimmäisen päivän, kun hänellä olisi ollut vara valita viidestä muustakin vaihtoehdosta? Hänellehän lie tärkeintä vastustaa Jumalan tahtoa! Kun Jumalan tahto on, että hänen lapsensa kunnioittaisivat häntä Luojanaan ja Lunastajanaan hänen siunaamanaan päivänä, sapattina, Saatanalle jää kaikki muut kuusi viikonpäivää! Miksi Saatana valitsi siis juuri sunnuntain?

Tutkiessamme tänään raamattua vastaus tähän kysymykseen löytyi aivan yllättäin. Viikon ensimmäinen päivähän on Luciferin alias Saatanan "syntymäpäivä"! Jesajan 14. luvussa ja Hesekielin 28. luvussa kerrotaan Luciferin lankeemuksesta. Sana "kointähti" (Jes. 14: 12) on käännetty latinankielisessä Vulgatassa sanalla Lucifer eli "valon kantaja". Jumalan ensimmäiset luomissanat olivat puolestaan "fiat lux" eli "tulkoon valkeus" (1. Moos. 1: 3). Ensimmäisenä luomispäivänä Jumala loi siis kaikki taivaan joukot eli enkelit, jotka ovat palvelevia olentoja ja omistavat suuren valon ja kirkkauden olemuksessaan. Lucifer oli koko enkelijoukon johtaja ja siten Luojan töiden esikoinen (Sanal. 8: 22 ) koko universumissa. Hänen viisautensa oli suuri ja hänen kauneutensa täydellinen (Hes. 28: 12), mutta ylpistyminen johti hänet kapinaan Jumalaa vastaan (Hes. 28: 17). Koska Lucifer alias Saatana asetti päämääräkseen Jumalan asemaan nousemisen (Jes. 14: 13, 14), hänen oli luotava koko järjestelmänsä Jumalan järjestelmän antaman mallin mukaan, ja vielä niin, että ihmiset sekoittaisivat ne keskenään. Kun Saatanan oli valittava oman järjestelmänsä lepopäivä, eihän kysymykseen voinut mikään muu vaihtoehto tullakaan kuin hänen oma tärkeä päivänsä... viikon ENSIMMÄINEN, jolloin hänet oli luotu!

When Satan had to choose his own restday he had no other alternative than to choose his own day... the FIRST of week, because it was the day his life started.
