Viimeaikaiset uutiset ovat koskeneet mm. Egyptin, Libyan ja Syyrian tapahtumia. Myös profeetta Daniel sai katsella noita samoja alueita viimeisen näkynsä loppupuolella, sillä nykyinen Syyria vastaa muinaisen Edomin, Mooabin ja Ammonin alueita.
Jokainen voi itse lukea, mitä Daniel kirjoittaa noista kansoista Dan. 11: 40 - 45.
The recent news have come from Egypt, Libya and Syria. Also the prophet Daniel was allowed to watch those same areas in the end of his last vision, for the modern Syria is on the same area as the ancient Edom, Moab and Ammon.

Samaan hengenvetoon (alunperin ei pyhissä teksteissä ollut jae- tai kappalejakoa) kuvauksensa kanssa Daniel toteaa:
"Siihen aikaan nousee Miikael, se suuri enkeliruhtinas, joka seisoo sinun kansasi lasten suojana. Ja se on oleva ahdistuksen aika, jonka kaltaista ei ole ollut siitä saakka, kuin kansoja on ollut, hamaan siihen aikaan asti. Mutta siihen aikaan pelastetaan sinun kansasi, kaikki, jotka kirjaan kirjoitetut ovat." (Dan 12: 1)
Daniel said immediately after that like this:
"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book." (Dan. 12: 1)
